UGREEN HomeAgent Turns the NAS into a Local AI Smart Home Hub
UGREEN has decided to tackle two worlds at once: the smart home and local artificial intelligence. Imagine a NAS that listens to your voice commands, analyzes footage from your cameras, and runs a language model without sending a single video to the cloud. That is what UGREEN promises with HomeAgent, a new range of AI hubs unveiled on September 4, 2026, at IFA Berlin. Here is what you need to know.
UGREEN is known for its accessories and, for some time now, for its NAS devices built around the NASync range. I have also tested several models, including the DXP4800 GT with its AMD processor and dual 10 GbE interfaces. With HomeAgent, the brand wants to go further: it is no longer selling storage alone, but a complete smart home ecosystem, with cameras, a speaker, photo frames, and a Hub enclosure that acts as the brain.
This enclosure runs on UGOS Pro. Does that name mean nothing to you? That is probably because you have never used a UGREEN NAS. Indeed, this Linux-based system is developed by UGREEN and is already used by the brand's NAS devices. What is new with the HomeAgent range is on-device AI processing, home automation control, and a natural-language assistant called Uliya. The advantage is that everything runs locally, with no need for a Cloud subscription: of course, it will be interesting to confirm all this in practice.
Three models, from Rockchip to NVIDIA Jetson Thor
The UGREEN HomeAgent lineup includes three models, with the main difference being performance, and therefore price. Pricing still needs confirmation, but I was able to recover a few amounts displayed in dollars on UGREEN's pre-order page, along with Super Early Bird pre-order offers.
- HomeAgent HA100. The entry-level model, announced with 26 TOPS of local AI performance, 16 GB of DDR5, and a dedicated M.2 NVMe slot for AI models. It would be based on a Rockchip RK3588 SoC. Public price: $1,799, reduced to $899 with Super Early Bird pricing.
- HomeAgent HA100 Pro. Same design, but 205 TOPS, more memory, and a faster network for more demanding tasks (context understanding, and so on). Public price: $5,999, or $2,999 for pre-order.
- MasterAgent MA100. The flagship of the range, built around the NVIDIA Jetson Thor T5000 and announced at 2,070 TFLOPS in FP4. UGREEN presents it as the first agentic local AI hub powered by this chip. To put that in perspective, this Blackwell module with 128 GB of memory was designed by NVIDIA for humanoid robots and autonomous vehicles, not for the living room. As for the price, brace yourself: $19,999, or $9,999 for early buyers.
On paper, that is huge, both in terms of configuration and pricing. We still need to see what these numbers look like in real-world use!

Uliya, local Qwen3, and an optional cloud
Behind Uliya, the name UGREEN gives to its AI assistant, is the use of the Qwen3 model as a local LLM. If needed, users can switch to Cloud models such as ChatGPT, but that is not the goal. Once again, it will be interesting to see what can or cannot be done locally, and therefore without relying on the LLM Frontiers.
By analyzing content obtained through other devices, including UGREEN cameras or Matter-compatible devices, the Hub should be able to detect people, vehicles, animals, or packages. It could also retrieve a video sequence simply by searching with a keyword.
It also turns images from SynCare cameras into a family video diary. "HomeAgent automatically spots the important moments of the day and turns them into a personalized video diary. It brings back to light those precious family memories that might otherwise have been forgotten", explains Samuel Zhang, CEO of UGREEN.
It is clear that UGREEN wants to build a true ecosystem between this Hub and connected devices. A first wave of cameras has been unveiled, along with a smart speaker.
Pre-orders are open, with delivery in 2027
Pre-orders for the HA100, HA100 Pro, and MA100 have been open since September 4, 2026, on UGREEN's AIoT store. A $50 deposit (around €45) reserves a HA100 or HA100 Pro, and $200 reserves the MA100, with a 50% discount off the retail price. The Kickstarter campaign itself will start on October 27, 2026, and that is when the purchase will be finalized.
Then comes the wait: the HA100 is scheduled for late January 2027, the HA100 Pro for late April 2027, and the MA100 for late July 2027. The remaining question is whether these devices will evolve by then or whether everything is already fixed.
