Pierre & Vacances–Center Parcs Hacked: 1.6 Million Booking Records Exposed

The Pierre & Vacances - Center Parcs group was hit by a cyberattack on Thursday, May 14, leading to the leak of data related to at least 1.6 million booking records. Here's what we know about this security incident.

Booking details out in the wild...

The security incident occurred this Thursday, May 14, 2026, on one of the PVCP group's booking sites called "La France du Nord au Sud", which is a subsidiary of Maeva and Co. But all of these sites belong to the same group: Pierre & Vacances - Center Parcs (PVCP).

According to official statements, 1,600,000 booking records were leaked following this cyberattack.

Based on the first information released, email addresses and banking details were not compromised. However, booking history was directly targeted, and a wealth of personal information was exfiltrated by the attackers about the reservations:

  • The names of guests
  • Dates of birth
  • Phone numbers
  • Detailed stay information

On the dark web, the hacker behind this intrusion claims to possess the data of more than 4 million people. That is not inconsistent, since a single booking record can contain the information of several individuals.

For its part, the PVCP group says it has notified the customers affected by this data leak. In parallel, a complaint against unknown persons has been filed.

From data leaks to scam attempts

With the summer holidays approaching, this data leak is still worrying. At first glance, it is not your bank account you should be watching after this incident, but rather your phone.

In fact, the main threat with this type of data leak is social engineering. The attackers have a very complete dataset. They know your name, where you are going on holiday, when, and with whom.

As a result, they can launch particularly convincing scams, especially over the phone. For example, they could impersonate the organization you booked with in an attempt to sell you extra services at a steep discount (or bring up the payment of administrative fees) and then steal your banking details... if you fall for the trap.

For holidaymakers, it's time to stay alert before getting too excited about the holidays.
